Career Accomplishments

Recognizing that everything is done through teams of people working together, I count among my significant career accomplishments:
  • Implemented NextGen Practice Management and EMR Systems supporting hundreds of physicians in dozens practices across six states

  • Developed and deployed an executive dashboard for use by hospital, regional and corporate executives that melded data from clinical and financial systems to present key hospital operating measures in an easy-to-understand fashion, yet provided sophisticated functionality allowing drill-down to data at the individual department, physician or patient level

  • Implemented more than twenty Cerner applications in each of four hospitals

  • Used the Project Management Maturity Model (PMMM) to improve and standardize project management processes

  • Was a member of the management team of an organization twice named as a Best 100 Places to work in IT by Computerworld Magazine (35th place in 2005, 11th place in 2006)

  • Achieved a 99th percentile ranking for employee engagement in the 2004 Gallup employee satisfaction survey

  • Improved quality of care and operational efficiency through my leadership of various clinical information systems projects including: Bridge Medical’s MedPoint point-of-care medication administration system, A4’s HealthMatics ED Emergency Department information system and MedPlus’ ChartMaxx document management system
