Director of Information Systems , 2008 - 2010

I am the senior information technology professional at Florida Hospital DeLand. I am responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient coordination of information systems activities at the hospital with the information systems activities of AHSIS. I am responsible for the successful implementation of all information services initiatives at the facility. I am responsible for establishing and monitoring project work plans, implementing effective workflows and processes, and assisting in the evaluation of end-user computing packages and equipment. I am responsible for creating accurate and timely records and reports. I am responsible for developing and monitoring the hospital’s information technology budget and ensuring that the Information Services department provides cost-effective, quality service to its customers. I exercise independent judgment and discretion in the interest of AHS, AHSIS and the hospital.

I provide direct supervision and leadership for facility Information Services staff.

I interact with facility executives, managers, staff and physicians to provide support for business initiatives and to ensure customer satisfaction.

I consult with hospital staff, Regional Information Services staff, and system vendors regarding business and information systems issues and recommend solutions.

I chair the hospital’s Information Services Steering Committee. I am also a member of the hospital’s Finance Pillar committee, Capital Committee, HIPAA Committee, Space Management Committee, Forms Committee, and Environment of Care Committee.
